Availability: Public or onsite
Course duration: 2 days
Hands-on (one person per computer)

Companion course: RoboHelp HTML Beyond the Basics
Other courses to consider: Developing HTML-Based Help: Design, Trends, and Strategies

This course is designed for the new or intermediate author who wants to learn the best way to develop an HTML Help system with RoboHelp HTML. In this course, you'll learn to create a context-sensitive HTML Help system beginning with setting up the project through deploying the help system to your users. You'll also learn about design aspects of RoboHelp development; this isn't just a "push the button" course.

This in-depth foundation course covers not just how RoboHelp HTML works, but also:

  • The processes you should follow to efficiently set up and manage your help system with RoboHelp HTML
  • Workable design ideas for getting the most of HTML-based help
  • Real world strategies for setting up and maintaining HTML Help systems

We'll use a realistic case study, including an application that you will use to create a working context-sensitive help system.

This is a hands-on course. In fact, over the course of two days, you'll practice using RoboHelp HTML through more than 35 in-depth, practical exercises. This class is instructed by Cheryl Lockett Zubak, one of the nation's most experienced RoboHelp Office instructors and a charter member of the Microsoft HTML Help MVP program.

Note: Outlines are subject to change without notice but will cover the same content.
